Our services

Loft access, fitted properly

Five services that between them cover getting into the loft safely and making the space usable once you are up there. Most jobs combine two or three of them in a single visit.

Choosing

Which of these do you actually need?

Most enquiries start with one of four situations. Finding yours here will usually point at the right page.

“There is no ladder at all, or you are using a stepladder”

Loft ladder installation

“The hatch is tiny, draughty, or a loose board you push up”

Loft hatch installation

“You can get up there, but there is nowhere to put anything”

Loft boarding

“The ladder sticks, wobbles or has stopped working properly”

Common questions

Before you choose

Can you do more than one of these in a single visit?

Usually, and it is the cheaper way to do it. A ladder, an insulated hatch and boarding are commonly fitted on the same visit — one set-up, one lot of mess, one tidy-up.

Which service do I actually need?

If you have no ladder, or an unsafe one, start with loft ladder installation. If the opening is too small, draughty or failing, the hatch is the limiting factor. If access is fine but the loft is unusable, it is boarding you want.

Do you do loft conversions?

No. We fit loft access and storage — ladders, hatches, boarding and insulation. A retractable ladder is not a substitute for a staircase into a habitable room, and we will say so rather than sell you the wrong thing.

Not sure which service you need?

One photo of your hatch from below is usually enough for us to tell you what will fit and roughly what it costs — before anyone visits, and before you commit to anything.
